Microblading

Microblading, also known as micro needling or eyebrow embroidery, is a semi-permanent tattoo that creates hair-like strokes with the use of a manual pen containing very small needles. These needles implant pigment into the basal layer (bottom layer) of the epidermis. This Procedure replicates the look of naturally full beautiful eyebrows. Unlike traditional tattoo, which is permanent, the colouring from microblading may last up to 3 years. This is because microblading uses different tools and a smaller amount of pigment.

Results

Microblading makes the creation of perfect eyebrows possible, but to ensure that you get the naturally beautiful looking brows you want, following the Microblading Aftercare Instructions is essential.

The instructions below have been fine-tuned through years of experience to ensure clients get optimal results. So follow them with exactness to make the most of your microblading:

• No makeup should be applied directly on the brows during the healing process.

• Avoid wetting brows during the healing process.

• Avoid sauna/steam rooms/sun beads during the healing process.

• Do not touch, rub, pick or scratch your brows following treatment or during the healing process.

• You may find that your eyebrows will scab or become slightly dry following the treatment. If they itch DO NOT SCRATCH them, please. Just tap them to release the itch.

• If your eyebrows get wet during the healing process pat them dry with a towel, DO NOT RUB.

• Apply your healing balm according to your therapist’s advice.

• The client can use a q-tip with soapy water to gently remove the previous layer of balm or to cleanse the eyebrows.

• Notify your therapist if a touch-up session is needed 4 – 6 weeks after the procedure.

• Avoid excess sun exposure as this can cause the pigment to fade and can affect the healing process.

• Avoid using daily skincare products directly on the eyebrows.

• If you are due to or are having an MRI scan, please inform your doctor that you have had microblading/semi-permanent makeup done.

• If you are planning a chemical peel or any other medical procedure, please inform the therapist of the procedure you have had. The procedure should only be done once the healing process is complete.

• If you are due to give blood after the procedure, please inform your nurse about the microblading treatment you had done as this might alter the results. Once healed you can enjoy your eyebrows to the fullest!
